Safety and setup rules
- Clear space: Give each hitter a full bat length in every direction, plus a safe zone behind the barrel path.
- Wall drill distance: Stand 12 to 15 inches off the wall. Dry cuts or a tee only. No live toss near walls.
- Soft gear: Use an 8.5-inch soft training ball for pin drills. Helmets stay on for any moving-ball work.
- Rep limits: Cap youth sets at 15 clean reps. Stop when the head drifts. Soreness or sharp pain ends the session.
- Video setup: Phone on a tripod at waist level, side view from the open side of the hitter. Highest frame rate the phone allows.
